Creating professional, high-quality dance photos for your dance school is such a fun process, from the preparation stage through to sharing the images and using them to promote your school.
I have had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of dancers at various dance schools across Kent and London, and every session is an absolute joy. The energy and excitement of the dancers, the ‘wow’ moments, and the supportive atmosphere in a creative environment are exactly why I do what I do. I love offering dance schools the chance to experience a professional photoshoot, and I manage to do so in a very cost-effective way.
Every dance school offers something unique, whether your focus is on competition teams, the beauty of technique, the expression of performance, or anything in between. I love getting to know a school’s ethos through the energy and creativity of its teachers and students.
My dance school photoshoots typically follow this process:
We discuss ideas and desired outcomes for the photoshoot (Is it prior to a show? For general school promotion? Or simply to give students a fun yet professional experience?)
We secure a date and location and discuss backdrop options.
I provide guidance on how to run the session, including timings.
I can offer pose ideas both before and on the day, but I always recommend practising poses in class beforehand!
The day of the shoot—a busy yet fulfilling one. Caffeine and knee pads are my vices!
I pack up and get to work editing your incredible images.
The completed gallery is sent to the dance school owner, who can then email it out to participants. Purchases are made directly through me.
Once sales are completed, the dance school owner receives a certain number of images.
I carry out photoshoots in this format for schools across Kent, London, and Medway. They have many benefits, from generating stunning images for your school which can be used for marketing, or displayed proudly in frames on the walls of your studio. They give students a huge confidence boost, and allow them to work together outside of a dance class environment.
Here's a selection of images from a photoshoot for Prima Stage School in Kent.
